Vision Statement

What I Am Working Towards

Many artists carry work that is deeply rooted, shaped by language, memory, and place, yet pause before allowing it to travel.

Not because the work lacks strength, but because meaning is intimate, and what is held closely can feel exposed when it moves beyond familiar ground.

To share a song through English is not simply an act of translation, but a decision about what may change, what must remain, and what can only be discovered in the encounter itself.

My work is focused on close collaboration with artists in Central and Eastern Europe, particularly those working in Croatia, Czechia, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia, where languages and living cultural traditions continue to meet contemporary musical expression in complex and powerful ways.

I envision a world where regionally grounded language songs live fully in the present and are increasingly able to move with confidence through contemporary genres, instruments, and technologies, and to circulate beyond cultural and linguistic borders.

In this world, cultural inheritance is not held apart from modern expression, but carried forward through the creative agency of artists, meeting English-speaking audiences in ways that support exchange, recognition, and continuity, without requiring erasure or simplification.

And in that movement, voices are not diminished by travel, but refined by it — finding new listeners, new relationships, and growing confidence, while remaining recognizably their own.
